Field Service Technician (Princeton, IL)
About the role
This is a Field Support Technician role focused on Operational Technology (OT), particularly in manufacturing settings where networking and industrial control systems (PLCs and manufacturing equipment) interact with IT networks. The role requires understanding of networking fundamentals, VLANs, IP addressing, firewalls, and related technologies.
Responsibilities
- Understand and troubleshoot networking issues, including DHCP, DNS, firewalls, LAN segmentation, and VLANs.
- Troubleshoot Zebra scanner issues managed via MDM and print server problems.
- Handle new hires and machine builds, assist users, and manage ServiceNow tickets.
- Work closely with users across 350-500 endpoints in four locations, with a 70/30 split between networking and desktop support.
- Support a mix of on-site and remote work, with a preference for overlap with second shift starting at 4 PM.
Requirements
- At least several years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Understanding of Windows 11 and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Net+ certification is beneficial.
- Own steel-toed boots/shoes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
