Field Service Technician (Omaha,NE)

Pay

$28.00 to $32.00 hourly, plus a $5,000 yearly bonus opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and timely complete Astea Mobile Work Orders, including:
  • Capturing labor and travel time stamps
  • Documenting equipment list (make, model, serial number)
  • Recording parts and materials needed and/or used
  • Logging additional fees and expenses
  • Providing detailed notes of work performed for each visit
  • Identifying root causes
  • Submitting electronic files, checklists, and pictures as attachments within the system
  • Capturing customer name and signature
• Provide responsive, high-level customer service interactions.
• Complete all business reporting documentation in a timely manner, including but not limited to:
  • Timesheets
  • Repair orders
  • Machine checklists
  • Receiving records
  • Expense reports
  • Repair order logs
• Identify and secure additional revenue opportunities, such as:
  • New potential customers
  • Recovering lost customers
  • PM service agreements
  • Refurbished equipment
  • Short-term rental
  • Spare parts
  • Other equipment on site
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of related mechanical or technical experience, troubleshooting corded electric, battery, and/or combustion engine-powered equipment.
• Strong electro-mechanical skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand and reach with arms and hands.
• Standing for 8 hours and frequent walking required.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Travel and driving required (varies by location).
