Position Responsibilities
- Approximately 100% travel, often four nights away weekly, on a continuous basis
- Covers the Northeast Region, including NY, NJ, CT & MA
- Performs startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or preventive maintenance service on all Aerzen Products at customer sites
- Represents Aerzen in professional and courteous manner following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements
- Installing, configuring, calibrating and maintaining control, measurement and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital)
- Installing and terminating electrical, pneumatic and fluid connections
- Understand controls narratives and analyze/troubleshoot process application related issues
- Analyzing and correcting communication issues
- Properly address TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications
- Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen Products
- Disassemble; assess damage and evaluate failures on machines; diagnose problems with Aerzen machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions; demonstrates the ability to offer machine-based recommendations; can identify the root cause of a machine failure
- Utilize defined procedures and a standard rebuild kit
- Read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation to perform service tasks, assembly and repairs on Aerzen Products
- Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations and service options, listen to customer concerns, and provide status updates during service call and at completion
- Assist engineering in plant design, modifications and hazard analysis
- Complete written repair reports to document cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, condition of equipment as received and as returned to the customer
- Conduct customer training on Aerzen Products when onsite
Requirements
- Education Requirements: High School Diploma or associate degree (2 years schooling) in electronics technology, or associated field. 5+ years of field experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience: Over 4 years of Field Service and Repair experience.
- Skills & Other Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams (dimensions, assembly, electrical)
- Proper use of micrometer, dial indicator, feeler gauges and coordinate measuring tools
- Ability to regularly use a forklift, ladder, hand tools, power tools, welding, calibrated measurement devices, hydraulic equipment is a must.
