Field Service Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, upgrade, and maintain telecommunications systems to meet customer and company requirements.
  • Evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Perform routine testing to ensure systems are operating at peak performance.
  • Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Install and terminate low-voltage cabling, including CAT5 and CAT6, keystones, and RJ45 connectors.
  • Order and replace components for various telecommunications systems and devices.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing clear communication and professional support.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience as a telecommunications or field service technician.
  • A solid understanding of telecommunications systems and components.
  • The ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (extensive travel required).
