Position Overview
As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert at customer sites, ensuring that hydraulic fracturing and power generation equipment operates at peak performance. From diagnosing issues across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to performing preventive maintenance and installing critical components, you’ll play a key role in keeping our customers powered and productive.
Responsibilities
- Service and maintain hydraulic fracturing and power generation equipment at customer sites
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and install/replace repair parts
- Maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment
- Communicate technical issues clearly to customers and team members
- Prepare accurate and timely service reports
- Uphold safety standards and ensure full compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols and technical requirements at all times
- Foster strong customer relationships
- Wear and maintain proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times, ensuring compliance with company safety standards
- Collaborate with team members and provide technical guidance when needed
- Stay current with mechanical advancements and OEM updates
- Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in a technical field (automotive, electrical, etc.) desired
- A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in a field service role with natural gas engines, power generation, or similar rotating equipment
- A customer-focused mindset with commitment to delivering high-quality service
- A valid driver’s license
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Knowledge of natural gas engines, power generation equipment, and rotating machinery
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and calibration equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical explanations and reporting
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, field-based environment
- A commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols and standards
