Field Service Technician Level

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) based on role strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations)

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Skills

• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs

Job Description Summary

As a Road Mechanic/Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and make advanced repairs at the customer's location equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Your responsibilities will vary by location but may include:

• Working on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations
• Developing new skills for a career track in service or operation management

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
