Field Service Technician - Level 2

About the role
This Road Mechanic/Technician role performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment.
You may work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations while developing new skills for a career track in service or operations management. This role operates in a safety-focused environment with a supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on rental equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Work in remote locations as required by the job
- Maintain flexibility with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired
- 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment) strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (CDL license may be required in some locations; must be 21 years of age)
- May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
- Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs

- Bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching
- Lifting 50 pounds or more
- Working indoors and outdoors as required by the job

Pay
Base pay range: $22.85 - $31.41 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
