Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventative maintenance, and repairs on Medical Gas Products.
- Conducted in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations (with regards to schedule and scope).
- Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning products, determine possible causes for malfunctions and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.
- Test and document the proper operating parameters prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Provide walk-through evaluations and basic system assessments.
- Provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations.
- Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
- Serve as an ambassador for BeaconMedaes.
- Train and assist other Service Technicians as requested.
- Provide technical support to other departments and personnel as required.
- Complete job reports daily, time sheets weekly, expense reports should be turned in at least monthly and other job-related paperwork as required.
- Return parts replaced under warranty as requested by Technical Support, Quality or Service Management.
- Returns must be completed within two weeks.
- Recordkeeping and Documentation (10%).
- Properly store and manage inventory levels of accuracy, to provide quick customer repairs.
- Additional assignments as required.
Requirements
- Experience 5+ years of technical field service experience maintaining and repairing various types of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul and repair of a wide variety of compressed air or vacuum equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- ASSE 6040; ASSE 6030 or ASSE 6020 credentials.
Skills
- Must be comfortable using a computer.
- Familiar with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
- Customer focused and takes ownership of meeting the customer's needs.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
Travel
- The ability to travel on short notice may be required.
- Occasional overnight travel is necessary.
