About the role
A leading technology services organization is seeking a Field Service Technician II to support commercial printing and imaging equipment in a customer-facing, field-based role. This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining copiers, printers, and multi-function devices. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, responsiveness, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and break/fix repairs on digital imaging equipment, including copiers, printers, and multi-function devices
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer service calls at client locations
- Maintain accurate service documentation, including field service and expense reports
- Identify and report product failure trends and serviceability issues to management
- Ensure all assigned equipment meets operational performance standards
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Follow all site-specific safety protocols and customer requirements
- Support uptime and reliability in a 24/7 service environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
- 1 to 2 years of related technical or field service experience
- Basic understanding of networked or internet-connected equipment
- Ability to complete required technical training programs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work and on-call rotations
- Ability to obtain required security clearances for customer sites
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as walking, standing, and kneeling for extended periods
