Field Service Technician II
About the role
We’re actively seeking an individual to diagnose and service designated Canon equipment to Canon standards and specifications. This role involves maintaining working knowledge of multiple product groups, troubleshooting, and providing efficient, responsive, and accurate field/shop/on-site maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
- Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
- Maintain working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups.
- Provide solutions for escalated technical and/or customer service-related problem areas for any territory requested.
Requirements
The skills and expertise you bring:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
- A basic understanding of internet environments and completion of the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class.
- The ability to travel with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- The capability to work in a 24/7 environment, perform shift work, and participate in on-call rotations.
- To obtain necessary security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter their premises.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).
Qualifications
