Field Service Technician II
About the role
We're actively seeking an individual to diagnose and resolve basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures. Perform service and repairs according to Canon standards and specifications. Maintain knowledge of multiple product groups and provide efficient, responsive, and accurate field/shop/on-site maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
- Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
- Maintain working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups.
- Provide efficient, responsive, and accurate field/shop/on-site maintenance.
- Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
- Maintain all technical information and Canon property assigned and provide direction to less experienced technicians.
- Provide solutions for escalated technical and/or customer service-related problem areas for any territory requested.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- 1 to 2 years of related experience.
- A basic understanding of internet environments.
- The ability to travel with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- The capability to work in a 24/7 environment, perform shift work, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of internet environments and completion of the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class.
- Compliance with customer policies and protocols, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
Skills
- Basic mechanical, software, network, and system troubleshooting skills.
- Customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $21.50-$30.75 hourly.

This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory on your scheduled work days.
