About the Role

As a Field Service Technician, you'll travel throughout the United States and around the world installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing advanced welding and manufacturing systems used by some of the most respected companies on the planet.

Responsibilities

  • Travel throughout North America and internationally to install and support MTI's industry-leading welding systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems
  • Commission new equipment and train customer personnel
  • Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Work directly with engineers, operators, maintenance teams, and plant leadership
  • Represent MTI at customer sites around the world
  • Continuously develop your technical skills through hands-on training and mentorship

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, field service, automation, controls, electrical, mechanical, military technical roles, or related fields
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with electrical controls, sensors, motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, or PLCs
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley or Siemens controls is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, including significant international travel

  • Basic understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)

Pay

$60,000 - $80,000 annually
