Field Service Technician (Entry Level) - Nashville / Murfreesboro / Spring Hill, TN

About the role

Located in the Nashville Sales Office, the Senior Field Service Technician works independently to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain chemical dispensing equipment and related equipment used in commercial foodservice or laundry operations. The role focuses on delivering exceptional service (not sales) to drive customer retention and superior customer service. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain chemical dispensing equipment and other commercial foodservice/laundry equipment.
• Deliver exceptional service to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
• Operate a computer keyboard and phone to input and access data.
• Recognize and respond to visual and audible alarms for equipment startup, evacuation, and fires.
• Operate a motor vehicle, spending approximately 30% of the workday traveling to customer accounts.
• Work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, dust, dirt, and uneven surfaces (concrete, asphalt).
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, pulling objects up to 50 lbs; climbing ladders and stairs; standing, sitting, walking for long periods; twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and reaching.
• Participate in on‑call coverage that may include occasional weekends, holidays, and night shifts.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills with provided training.
• Basic understanding of electronics, plumbing, maintenance, or mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot using root‑cause analysis.
• Moderate working knowledge of appropriate tools, data, implements, and service needs.
• Proficiency with laptop and cell phone technology, including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to undertake occasional overnight travel.
• Must reside in the specified city (Nashville Sales Office area).

Pay

Starting pay range: $23.75 – $26.71 per hour.
