Field Service Technician - Commercial Solar PV & BESS

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning of commercial Solar PV and BESS systems.
• Install, test, and verify electrical and mechanical components according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system faults, equipment failures, and performance issues.
• Complete rework and corrective actions to ensure systems meet quality and operational requirements.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on Solar PV and BESS equipment.
• Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Perform electrical testing using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, NEC requirements, and company safety procedures.
• Complete field reports, service documentation, and commissioning records accurately and on time.
• Cook up with project managers, engineers, and customers to resolve technical issues and support successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working on commercial Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Commissioning, Installation, Troubleshooting, Rework and corrective actions, Maintenance and service.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and renewable energy equipment.
• Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to job sites.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and safely perform physically demanding tasks.
