Field Service Technician, Body Scanners - Miami, FL

This position supports services for our Body Scanner products. At Rohde & Schwarz, we provide our customers with extensive post-sales support, training, free technical support, and close personal contact from our engineers out in the field. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Miami International Airport and be a US citizen. Your tasks Conduct on-site or in-house repair of equipment to ensure it meets Rohde & Schwarz’ high standards of performanceDiagnose equipment malfunctions and performs repairsUnderstand complex RF system architecture and apply that to diagnostic processRepresent the company in a customer support role and is responsible for customer’s satisfaction with equipment and servicingAccurately prepare daily logs and reports of work performed, including hours spent and inventory used for each assignmentAbility to work independently on moderately complex projectsEffectively communicate with customers in a professional business environment Your Qualifications 4+ years of experience in RF systems repair, maintenance, and installationUnderstanding of RF concepts and devicesFamiliarity with airport security scanner installation and service is a plusBasic understanding of IP Networking and proper network configuration principlesExcellent communication, time management, and teamwork skillsCan effectively use standard professional software such as Microsoft Office productsAbility to travel a minimum of 50%, primarily domestic travel with occasional international travelAvailable to support an on-call schedule and respond to on- demand travel for service actionsMust be capable of lifting up to 75 poundsIn order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US, have US citizenship and have the ability to obtain DHS security clearance. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
