Field Service Technician
About the role
We are seeking a customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our team supporting end users in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting technology issues, providing hands-on support, and delivering an excellent customer experience. The IT Support Technician will be responsible for desktop and laptop deployments, hardware refreshes, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting users across multiple locations as needed. This position offers an opportunity to build technical skills while making a direct impact on end-user productivity.
Responsibilities
- Perform laptop and desktop deployments, refreshes, imaging, setup, and configuration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and Windows-related issues.
- Provide on-site technical support to end users while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Track and maintain equipment inventory and asset records.
- Document service requests, technical issues, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve more complex technical problems.
- Follow organizational IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
- Travel periodically to other regional locations as business needs require.
Requirements
- Experience in desktop support, field services, service desk, or technical support.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ certification is a plus. Candidates currently working toward their A+ certification are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or similar technical certifications are beneficial.
- Previous healthcare IT experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data protection principles.

This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
