Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, valve adjustments, lubrication, and equipment checks).
- Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools effectively.
- Read, interpret, and apply safety documents, schematics, and mechanical diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and repair engines.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team in non-climate-controlled conditions.
- Travel, including overnight stays, as required.
- Utilize strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a drive to succeed.
- Communicate effectively via telephone and email.
Requirements
- Prior mechanical experience in automotive, power generation, heavy equipment, or diesel engines.
- Over 7 years of experience in a technical role or extensive experience with issue resolution in field service (preferably with INNIO Jenbacher engines).
- Technical expertise combined with strong business acumen and basic IT skills.
- Willingness to work in a shift model (if required) and be on call.
- Experience working with electrical or mechanical systems.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to support, empower, and inspire service teams and customers.
- Boundaryless, multicultural working mindset and ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-working experience with Jenbacher gas engines in field operations, commissioning, and across all engine types.
- Jenbacher training certifications: FTB, FTA, CT1, CT2, MR6.
- Exposure to mechanical root cause analysis (RCA) research and analysis.
- Previous field experience.
