Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, valve adjustments, lubrication, and equipment checks).
• Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools effectively.
• Read, interpret, and apply safety documents, schematics, and mechanical diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair engines.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Travel, including overnight stays, as required.
• Utilize strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a drive to succeed.
• Communicate effectively via telephone and email.

Requirements

• Prior mechanical experience in automotive, power generation, heavy equipment, or diesel engines.
• Over 7 years of experience in a technical role or extensive experience with issue resolution in field service (preferably with INNIO Jenbacher engines).
• Technical expertise combined with strong business acumen and basic IT skills.
• Willingness to work in a shift model (if required) and be on call.
• Experience working with electrical or mechanical systems.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to support, empower, and inspire service teams and customers.
• Boundaryless, multicultural working mindset and ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-working experience with Jenbacher gas engines in field operations, commissioning, and across all engine types.
• Jenbacher training certifications: FTB, FTA, CT1, CT2, MR6.
• Exposure to mechanical root cause analysis (RCA) research and analysis.
• Previous field experience.
