About the role
This position is responsible for placing new equipment into operation and determining new and existing equipment problems and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Report to Field Service Manager the status of each service trip before leaving the service location, including travel time and mileage, service hours, customer contact name, parts used or required, and whether a return trip is needed.
- Meet weekly with Field Service Manager.
- Contact clients to verify expected service times or notify of any changes.
- Obtain a signed service report from the customer, when possible.
- Advise customers to schedule service and request parts through the office rather than directly.
- Obtain daily dispatches from the Field Service Manager.
- Limit office time to weekly meetings, turning in time sheets, and picking up parts/tools.
- Support the company’s mission, standards, policies, and confidentiality guidelines.
- Perform daily travel within assigned territory.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Field Service Manager and Managing Member.
- Operate and maintain pumps, valves, and process control systems.
- Operate DOT-regulated vehicles and heavy equipment (e.g., crane trucks, trailers).
- Comply with FMCSA drug and alcohol testing if operating CDL-class vehicles.
- Work in confined spaces, trenches, and at heights.
- Participate in or supervise entry into tanks, manholes, or vaults, monitoring gas levels, entry permits, and rescue procedures.
- Handle hazardous chemicals and pressurized systems.
- Adhere to safety policies and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent; trade school specializing in mechanical and electronic repair preferred.
- On-the-job training provided; prior experience not required.
- Experience or classroom knowledge in:
- Relay logic and motor controls
- Using a volt meter, including mA measurement and signal generation
- Using an amp clamp
- Programming and calibrating process instruments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or classroom knowledge in:
- Troubleshooting or developing PLC logic
- Troubleshooting, programming, or repairing Variable Frequency Drives
- Mechanical systems (e.g., pumps)
- Hydraulic systems (e.g., liquid/gas processes)
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in basic mechanical and electrical evaluation and repair.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with a wide range of people.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines.
- Good follow-through on projects and deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Physical activities include:
- Sitting for long periods
- Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping
- Good finger dexterity and feeling
- Frequent repetitive motions
- Talking, hearing, and visual acuity
- Frequent lifting (up to 150 pounds of equipment, supplies, or tools).
- Normal office and field (outdoor) environment.
- Daily travel within Oklahoma; some overnight travel up to 3 consecutive nights.
- Designated as safety-sensitive; duties directly affect health and safety of self, coworkers, customers, and the public.
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing under federal and company policies.
- Fitness-for-duty evaluations as required.
