Position Summary

FIVES LANDIS CORP is actively seeking a Field Service Technician to join its team in Hagerstown, Maryland. The position is available with flexibility regarding location, encouraging applications from MD, VA, WV, PA, KY, NY, IL, IN, OH, and MI.

About the Role

The Field Service Technician will set up, integrate, and thoroughly test equipment and systems at client locations to ensure optimal functionality and reliability. They will demonstrate equipment performance and capabilities to customers, confirm proper operation, and address any issues to ensure customer satisfaction. The technician will also provide rapid support for critical equipment failures to minimize downtime, perform emergency repairs, educate and assist clients on proper equipment operation, communicate with customers and internal teams, and submit detailed service reports.

Responsibilities

Set up, integrate, and test equipment and systems at client locations
Demonstrate equipment performance and capabilities to customers
Provide rapid support for critical equipment failures
Perform emergency repairs by diagnosing technical issues and implementing solutions
Educate and assist clients on proper equipment operation
Communicate clearly and proactively with customers and internal teams
Submit detailed service reports

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of field service experience
Knowledge of precision cylindrical grinding
Centerless and double disc grinding knowledge is a plus
Understanding of CNC machines with servo drives & motors
Programmable Logic Controls such as Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens, etc.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $28 – $38 per hour, with the rate offered being commensurate with experience.
