About the role

Ecolab is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in the Chicago, IL market. This is a field-based position and may require travel to the following locations and surrounding areas: Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and perform maintenance on ware washing, laundry and dispensing equipment and systems
  • Service intensive support within assigned district
  • Communicate Ecolab’s total value to the customer and strengthen the relationship
  • Manage equipment, parts, and inventory to control costs

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of mechanical service-related experience
  • Current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or other advanced education or certifications preferred
  • Previous mechanical problem-solving experience (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or mechanical experience) in industries related to food service, laundry, housekeeping, hospitality and/or pool and spa

Skills

  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools

Pay

The annual or hourly compensation range for this position is $57,300-$85,800. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm* Position may also require some early morning, late evening or overnight work to perform installations after hours based on business and customer needs.

  • Working in confined spaces

  • Driving a company vehicle as required to perform job duties
