Field Service Technician, AgRev - Columbia

About the role

AGCO is forming AgRevolution™, an agricultural equipment dealership, to provide industry-leading products and support services to the farming community. As a Field Service Technician in Columbia, KY, you will perform repairs to equipment at customer and company locations, install new equipment and component parts, and handle standard work assignments with minimal to no direct supervision. This position includes a company service truck and may require dispatch from home or company shop locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform repairs to machinery and equipment at customer jobsites or company shop using appropriate tooling and test equipment to complete work efficiently and with high quality.
• Maintain a valid Driver’s License in compliance with Company and DOT regulations, including legally required paperwork such as DOT logs.
• Use test equipment to analyze, evaluate, and locate problems.
• Confer with customers and/or supervisors or make independent on-the-job decisions when necessary.
• Write service reports at jobsites, track time accurately, and submit timecards in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy of work orders by charging parts and labor to the proper work order segment.
• Maintain and update sufficient hand tools to perform the job.
• Recommend ideas to improve departmental operating procedures or business practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to agriculture, construction, off-road, or heavy equipment or similar machinery.
• Experience using test equipment and tools to analyze, evaluate, locate, and repair problems.
• Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and word processing programs.
• May require overtime work or overnight travel to jobsites.
• Availability to provide service to customers on a 24/7 basis.
