Field Service Tech (Truck, Aerial, Hydraulics, Electrical)

Summary

Being a field technician/mechanic is unique among service jobs: there is travel to customer sites, a flexible schedule, responsibility for a company vehicle, and the need for significant customer interaction. You will determine and perform needed assessments, diagnoses, replacements, and repairs of CTOS equipment we rent, sell, and service.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform major component changes and preventive maintenance on truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment.
• Work with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, and specialty equipment used in various industries including construction, mining, farming, military, and aerospace.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous equipment service/field/mobile technician experience.
• Education related to mechanics, electronics, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Experience with truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; construction, mining, farm equipment such as dozers or tractors; military heavy equipment wheeled or track, aircraft, generator, ground support equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational technical school or military wheeled mechanic or related training.
• A valid Commercial Driver's License.
• Own tools necessary for the job.
• Physical ability to move objects and tools; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling; and high dexterity.
