Field Service Supervisor - Charlotte, NC
About the role
Reports to: Program Leader
Location: Charlotte, NC.
Travel: Local travel as needed / Company vehicle and expense card provided
Team: Field Technicians & Warehouse personnel
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient execution of field operations while maintaining high safety standards and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of Field Service Technicians by providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages continuous improvement and safety.
- Oversee the timely removal and installation of gas, water, and electric meters, adhering to company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain daily operations, schedules, and workloads to optimize resource allocation and efficiency.
- Oversee field audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve any service-related issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to service level agreements.
- Develop and implement training programs for new and existing team members on installation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service skills.
- Keep team updated on industry advancements, company policies, and technological developments.
- Act as a point of contact for escalated customer inquiries and issues related to meter installations and removals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing excellent service and addressing needs effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of field operations, customer interactions, and team performance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on team productivity, service quality, and operational challenges to senior management.
- Promote a strong safety culture within the team, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with industry safety standards.
- Ability to effectively manage a team that works in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed for emergency or urgent installations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in field service management or a similar role with performance and financial (revenue & cost) management oversight.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Suite of Business Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and work order management systems.
- Strong understanding of gas, water, and electric meter installation, maintenance, and relevant regulations.
- Proficient in using field service management software and systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer-focused with a strong service orientation.
