About the role

The Field Service Superintendent leads and manages electrical crews on utility-scale solar and BESS repower, restoration, and augmentation projects. Responsibilities include ensuring all work meets NEC code, safety standards, and project requirements, troubleshooting challenges, and maintaining efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a self-perform team to repair and restore utility-scale solar and BESS project sites while applying Principle Based Management (PBM)
  • Develop and improve processes that drive consistent behaviors, increase productivity, and maximize profitability across projects
  • Ensure all work is executed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with DEPCOM’s quality standards and construction requirements
  • Improve decision-making through knowledge sharing, the challenge process, and clear ownership of decision rights
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and risks while maintaining transparent communication with customers and stakeholders
  • Maintain a forward-looking plan by ensuring the team is aligned on a three-week lookahead
  • Provide accurate daily reporting and interact with customers as needed to support project success

Requirements

  • Valid Electrical Journeyman license with strong working knowledge of NEC code and field application
  • Experience leading self-perform crews or subcontractors in construction or field service environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools to support reporting, communication, and planning
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively to project sites

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Utility-scale solar and/or BESS experience
  • OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, and CPR/First Aid certifications
  • Experience with Procore and familiarity with ArcGIS

Pay

$110,000 - $135,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.

Schedule

This role is field-based with travel across project sites nationwide. Assignments typically last 4–8 weeks, with company-supported trips home between rotations. You will work out of a home base between assignments while supporting sites requiring rapid restoration, repower, or augmentation.
