As a Field Service Specialist, you will provide specialized repair and maintenance services for diagnostic imaging (radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, etc.) and biomedical equipment, expanding on FSS I duties.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily repair and maintain intermediate imaging equipment (DR, basic CT/CT Sim, oncology, Vascular/Specials), leveraging training to reduce contract dependency.
  • Lead within Clinical Engineering, assisting FSS with imaging equipment repair.
  • Manage service emergencies and communications with stakeholders.
  • Order parts and supplies.
  • Provide Account Manager coverage and identify new service opportunities.
  • Analyze cost histories for expense reduction.
  • Support general biomedical equipment as needed.
  • Specialize in "High Tech" imaging equipment repair and maintenance (75%+ of time).
  • Significantly reduce contract dependency for high-tech through advanced training.
  • Stay current on technology, medical advances, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, or equivalent training validated through training certificates or equivalent experience, upon hire.
  • A minimum of seven years’ experience servicing medical imaging equipment such as General X-Ray (Rad, including but not limited to Rad Rooms, Portables and C-Arms).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Participation in a rotational on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be available to respond to urgent service needs outside of regular business hours and may be required to return to the facility on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Radiology Equipment Specialists, upon hire.
