About the role

Dignity Health Medical Group is seeking a Field Service Specialist II to join our healthcare technology team. The role is ideal for a skilled technician passionate about imaging equipment maintenance, seeking to make a significant impact on patient care quality and clinical engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex maintenance on a diverse range of imaging technologies, including Digital Radiography, CT systems (basic), CT Simulators, basic oncology equipment, and Vascular/Special systems.
  • Reduce vendor dependency through proactive training and skill development.
  • Act as a technical lead within the Clinical Engineering department, mentoring and supporting junior team members.
  • Manage critical service emergencies and efficiently coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless operation of diagnostic imaging services.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience servicing medical imaging equipment such as General X-Ray (Rad, including but not limited to Rad Rooms, Portables, and C-Arms).
  • Ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of imaging equipment.
  • Ace or military equivalent of an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • CRES preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in specific technologies like DR systems, CT scanners, and vascular imaging equipment.

  • Strong background in field service engineering.

Pay

The posted compensation range of $45.26 - $67.32 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Schedule

This role requires a weekly schedule of Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm) and travel of up to 50% of the time.
