Job Summary
As a Field Service Specialist, you will provide specialized repair and maintenance services for diagnostic imaging (radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, etc.) and biomedical equipment, expanding on FSS I duties. Daily, you will primarily repair and maintain intermediate imaging equipment (DR, basic CT/CT Sim, oncology, Vascular/Specials), leveraging training to reduce contract dependency. You will lead within Clinical Engineering, assisting FSS with imaging equipment repair, and manage service emergencies and communications with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain intermediate imaging equipment (60%+ of time)
- Reduce contract dependency through training
- Lead the CE department, overseeing and assisting FSS I
- Manage service emergencies and vendor/department communication
- Assist with ordering parts and supplies for imaging and biomedical equipment
- Backfill CE Manager, providing service opportunity input, and analyzing service costs
- Stay current on technology, medical advances, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, or equivalent training validated through training certificates, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience servicing technical equipment
- Valid Driver’s License

Required Job Requirements
- Participation in a rotational on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Availability to respond to urgent service needs outside of regular business hours and be required to return to the facility on short notice
