Field Service Representative - Third Class

About the role

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, employs people in a variety of roles within our eight-state footprint. This position is for a Field Services Representative – Third Class, focused on meter setting in Great Valley. The schedule for this role is Tuesday through Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace meters and meter-related materials ranging in size from 1/2" through 2" in diameter.
• Interpret meter readings and analyze consumption using mathematical skills.
• Adhere to the Company’s and OSHA’s safety regulations.
• Read and interpret pipeline/construction plans as they relate to Meter Operations.
• Use a computer/tablet with working knowledge of Service Link, Aqua GIS, AIMS, AMRA, Banner, and Microsoft Office.
• Perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 85 lbs.
• Work overtime, after scheduled hours, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Perform all other tasks or special functions as directed by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Highly recommended: Licensed Journeyman or apprentice plumber.
• Mechanical aptitude for meter installation, repair, and replacement.
• Mathematical background to interpret meter readings and analyze consumption.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (Company and OSHA).
• Ability to read and interpret pipeline/construction plans.
• Capability to use a computer/tablet and relevant software (Service Link, Aqua GIS, AIMS, AMRA, Banner, Microsoft Office).
• Physical capability to lift up to 85 lbs.
• Availability for overtime, after-hours work, holidays, and weekends.

Pay

The hourly rate of pay is $38.99 per hour. All employees hired or entering the bargaining unit on or after December 15, 2022, will receive $4.00 per hour less than the classification wage rate. The wage reduction will be returned in $1.00 increments annually over a four-year period. Employees will also receive annual contract increases.

Schedule

This position follows a Tuesday through Saturday work schedule.
