Field Service Representative
About the role
The Field Service Representative plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional support and building long-term, trust-based relationships with builders. They leverage their expertise in componentized metal building systems and their ability to interpret technical drawings to troubleshoot issues and provide expert guidance.
Responsibilities
- Provide insightful feedback and data on recurrent issues to enhance customer service and performance
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding swiftly and professionally to inquiries from the Builder organization
- Foster and maintain positive customer relationships by actively gathering feedback from both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring ongoing improvements
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with technical teams to address customer needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently
- Regularly generate detailed and analytical service reports
- Collaborate with other departments to identify root causes and implement effective solutions to fulfill customer needs
- Assess customer requirements and offer expert advice and recommendations
- Establish trust-based relationships with customers to ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Technical education, certifications, or related experience are preferred
- A strong knowledge of Componentized metal buildings and the ability to read drawings are essential
- Experience in the following areas is preferable:
- 3+ years in Componentized metal buildings or roof and wall systems
- 3+ years in Field Service or Customer Service roles
- Proficiency in PC-based applications, including Excel, Word, Oracle R12, and CRM are a positive
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills are necessary
- The ability to travel periodically (approximately 10%) for on-site visits
