Field Service Rep - Mission Operations Specialist
About the role
The Ground-based Interceptor Maintenance Manager (GMM) / Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Operations Controller Mid-Level Mission Operations Specialist is needed to support the FGA Operations Support Center in Fort Greely, Alaska. The position involves providing relevant contributions to plan and execute mission operations for command, control, communications, computing, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems.
Responsibilities
- Provides relevant contributions to plan and execute mission operations for command, control, communications, computing, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems
- Provides relevant contributions on the configuration of operational system and informs leadership of system and subsystem performance
- Assists with control and coordination of distributed resources and ground assets to support mission operations
- Provides input to coordinate system maintenance activities
- Assists maintenance action investigations and analysis
- Works under general direction
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability and willingness to work variable shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ Certification within 90 days of start
Qualifications
- Current CompTIA Security+ CE certification preferred
- Prior Military Service preferred
- 1 year or more GMD work experience preferred
- 1 year or more experience working with a government customer preferred
- 1 year or more experience working in a Command and Control Center preferred
- 1 year or more experience planning and executing maintenance activities preferred
- Prior experience with Linux Operating Systems preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work variable shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ Certification within 90 days of start
