Clean Harbors in Lexington, SC is seeking a Field Service Project Manager to manage large-scale projects at customer locations, including emergency response, hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling.

About the role

You will work directly with team members, supervisors, and the branch manager to oversee technically complex projects, ensuring health and safety compliance while developing customer relationships and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following policies and acting safely at all times.
  • Manage small to midsize projects involving waste site cleanup, construction, decontamination, and demolition.
  • Prepare proposals, including cost estimates, work scopes, and schedules.
  • Develop relationships with key customers and address their issues.
  • Provide timely, concise, and relevant information to superiors and subordinates.
  • Offer technical support for proposal preparation, project cost estimates, and subcontractor selection.
  • Enforce health and safety policies; performance will be measured by the district’s safety record.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Health and Safety and VP of Site Services to resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of environmental field service operations or related experience.
  • Strong background in environmental remediation.
  • Emergency response supervisor training and/or Marine Spill Response training preferred.
  • Strong understanding of equipment operations and federal/state environmental regulations.
  • Experience with cost estimating, computer systems, and remedial technologies.
  • Previous experience in emergency response.

Pay

$75,000 - $85,000 annually plus an incentive bonus program.
