Field Service Project Manager

About the role
As a Field Service Project Manager, you will manage field service projects, including planning, scheduling, coordinating resources, and overseeing project execution to ensure successful completion within budget and timeline. You will act as a point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, providing updates on project progress, addressing issues, and resolving conflicts. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and track project performance against key metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices to optimize project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
- Manage large-scale field service and emergency response projects, when directed.
- Responsible for business development, maintenance of customer relationships, and the scoping and quoting of projects/jobs; document competition issues and convey findings.
- Validate project progression status and ensure change orders are completed and executed prior to any additional work being performed; ensure customer acknowledges change order(s).
- Communicate manpower, equipment, and resources required to complete scheduled and emergency response projects through coordination with Field Service Coordinator or Branch Manager.
- Responsible for Health and Safety adherence and any issues surrounding assigned projects; communicate effectively with the health & safety organization regarding on-site specific action.
- Train and mentor Field Service Foreman and assist the Field Service General Manager in the completion of performance reviews for individuals under indirect supervision.
- Responsible for the proper costing/utilization of labor and equipment for assigned work.
- Direct personnel in the operational procedures and requirements to complete field service planned projects and emergency responses.
- Communicate with the foreman/supervisor to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Respond immediately when on-call or secure proper coverage and communicate replacement name to the supervisor/manager.
- Follow all local, state (provincial), and federal compliance regulations and rules.
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial), and federal requirements.
- Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
- Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, or 3 to 5 years of alternative combinations of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Knowledge of equipment, environmental regulations/statutes, safety, and compliance.
- Field service operations experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Perform physical functions per job requirements.
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory responsibility experience.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
Pay
Pay range $75-80k+ annually with a 10% operational bonus.
