About the role
Vivint Smart Home, an NRG owned company, is seeking Field Service Technicians to join its nationally recognized team. This role combines technical expertise with sales opportunity, focusing on installing and servicing smart home technology while also identifying and selling upgraded solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
- Evaluate customer homes to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements on-site.
- Train homeowners on using their new system to protect their families.
- Benefit from consistent coaching and leadership training to advance within the national organization.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders (up to 14 feet).
- Comfortable bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
Experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service-based sales is a major plus. Must have a customer-first attitude and technical aptitude, though not required for installation tasks.

Pay
The base hourly range for this position is $24.99 - $28.54.
Schedule
4-day work weeks (4/10 schedule, includes Saturdays)
