About the role
NRG Energy, through its subsidiary Vivint Smart Home, is seeking a Field Service Professional/Electrician to join our team in Hobbs, NM. This position offers a competitive hourly base pay, uncapped commission, and performance incentives. Comprehensive training, a take-home company vehicle, and a 4-day work week are provided.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
- Evaluate customer homes to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements.
- Train homeowners on using their new system to protect their families.
- Conduct a safety analysis of every home to ensure a safe workplace for both the technician and the customer.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 14 feet and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Successfully pass a background investigation and licensing requirements, specifically an ES-3J license in New Mexico.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service-based sales is a major plus.
- Ability to act with integrity while building rapport with diverse customers.
- Technical aptitude in areas such as cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful but not required.
