Field Service Power Generation Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Avondale, AZ. The role offers a sign-on bonus, relocation, competitive pay, and benefits.
About the role
Makes an impact by completing repair activities on generators or components, engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner, performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, maintaining detailed records of service, adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies, ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products, maintaining own tools, and performing repairs on ATS systems and commissioning new ATS installations.
Responsibilities
- Completing repair activities on generators or components
- Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of service
- Adequate to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a new ATS installation
Requirements
- Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience
- Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products
- Basic Diesel Engine experience
- Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components
- Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a new ATS installation
Qualifications
- Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Current relevant electrical certification
Skills
- Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience
