Field Service Mechanic

As the exclusive distributor for Haas Automation CNC machine tools under Haas Factory Outlet Trident, we offer a complete range of 5-axis universal machining centers, vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC lathes, CNC mills, rotary tables, and 5C collet indexers. We are seeking a team-oriented and ambitious CNC Field Service Technician for our Massachusetts territory.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all machine tool equipment and controls.
• Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research and resolve machine issues.
• Ensure accurate documentation is completed and submitted regarding the status of machine issues, repairs, and installation for both the office and customer.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.
• Perform related duties as required, including tasks similar or logically assigned to the position.

Requirements

• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn complex tasks through on-the-job training and supporting documents.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical repair of diesel engines, generators, automotive, industrial machinery, HVAC, EDM/Laser/Waterjet, or CNC machine tools; Haas CNC repair background is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Excellent customer service, technical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including frequent travel and driving throughout the New England regional territory.

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees.
• Frequent use of hands and arms.
• Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work responsibly and professionally in dynamic job sites with tight timelines, changing priorities, and interaction with customers and team members.
• For safety-sensitive roles: ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment.
• Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work.
• Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
