Field Service Mechanic

Hydradyne, a Hydradyne LLC Company, is an authorized distributor for Applied® and is currently seeking a Hydraulic Technician for our Houston, TX branch. This is a full-time position. Pay is $30-$38 per hour, DOE. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and holidays. About the role

Looking for experienced candidates in repair and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems and components. The position requires building pumps, valves, motors, and cylinders. Knowledge of Parker products is preferred. Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems and components both in the branch and off-site (customers and other locations).
• Diagnose problems and prepare estimates for repairs.
• Repair and install new systems in the field.
• Keep work area and service vehicle clean and organized.
• Maintain proper inventory on service vehicle.
• Maintain a professional image and relationship with customers.
• Identify new business opportunities while on customer premises.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of previous mechanic experience in hydraulics, diesel, or industrial equipment preferred.
• Basic math skills and good communication skills are required.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

• Ability to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcome.
• Skill to formulate sound decisions using available information.
• Attention to minute details of a task.
• Ability to work at customer sites in accordance with their work rules.
