Field Service Expert

4 Corner Resources is hiring a Field Service Expert, Automation for a pulp and paper equipment provider. This is a remote role with 60%+ travel to customer mill sites across North America. It's a strong fit for an electrical or controls pro who likes hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting, and wants to keep building skills on Siemens and Rockwell systems. Field Service Expert, Automation Responsibilities:Provide automation and DCS controls service on new and existing paper machine equipment at customer sites, and remotely when possibleHandle installation, check-out, commissioning, start-up, optimization, and emergency service callsTroubleshoot system faults on control loops and operator interface screensProgram control loops and displays in Siemens and Rockwell environments, and make onsite PLC changesComplete small system upgrades and small engineering tasks on new or modified loopsKeep accurate records of job progress, delays, deliveries, and customer scope changesWrite service reports covering work completed, changes made, faults found, and recommendationsTrain customer staff to maintain and troubleshoot their automation equipmentRun site audits to find process improvement opportunitiesReview spare parts needs with customers and recommend parts and servicesField Service Expert, Automation Qualifications:Technical degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Controls Engineering, or a related field5+ years of electrical, controls, or process control experienceHands-on experience with Siemens and/or Rockwell control systems (at least one is required)Solid electrical fundamentals, including connections, commissioning, and system checksBasic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsWilling to travel 60%+ of the year, including multi-week site stays, occasional short-notice trips, and some international travelStrong communication and customer relations skillsComfortable with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookAble to lift up to 25 pounds, stand, kneel, crouch, and wear PPE in plant environmentsField Service Expert, Automation Preferred Qualifications:Pulp and paper industry experience, especially paper machines or pulpersBilingual in English and SpanishField Service Expert, Automation Details:Location: Remote (U.S.), Wisconsin preferredSchedule: Remote home base with 60%+ travel; site visits typically run about two weeks at a timePay Rate: $48 to $55/hour, overtime eligible 4CR1
