Field Service Engineer I

About the Role

This position involves supporting the fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of C4ISR systems on various ship vessels. The role includes assisting technical staff with electrical and mechanical circuits, providing feedback on design or fabrication issues, and performing on-site equipment installations within the United States, including Naval Bases and shipyards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in integrating C4ISR systems into ship variants
• Support fabrication and testing of electrical/mechanical circuits
• Identify and communicate issues during fabrication or installation
• Install equipment and products on-site in diverse environments

Requirements

• 0-5 years of experience with shipboard C4I systems and new construction
• Experience with cable installation, dressing, and banding according to NAVSEA standards
• Ability to interpret shipboard installation documentation
• OSHA 10 Maritime Certification (must provide proof)
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a secret security clearance
• Willingness to travel up to 25%

Skills

• Experience with RF, Heliax, Cat 5/6 cables, and MIL-STD connectors
• Proficiency in installing electronic equipment onboard Navy vessels
• Active fiber optic certifications for handling and testing (desired)
