Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and service gas chromatography (GC) systems and elemental analyzers at customer sites
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, validation, and performance testing of analytical instrumentation
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and electromechanical equipment to minimize customer downtime
- Troubleshoot instrumentation, control systems, and related equipment to identify and resolve technical issues
- Verify equipment performance in accordance with ASTM methods and customer specifications
- Document service activities, calibration results, and repair reports accurately
- Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance
- Travel approximately 90% to refineries, chemical plants, and laboratories to support scheduled maintenance, equipment startups, commissioning, and emergency service calls
Qualifications
- 5+ years of field service experience supporting gas chromatographs (GC), elemental analyzers, or similar analytical instrumentation
- Experience installing, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and electromechanical equipment
- Working knowledge of ASTM testing methods and laboratory or refinery analytical equipment
- Strong electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 90% of the time
Preferred
- Experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, or analytical laboratories
- OEM field service experience
- Knowledge of process analyzers, industrial instrumentation, and control systems
- Experience commissioning and validating analytical equipment
