Field Service Engineer - Gas Chromatography

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service gas chromatography (GC) systems and elemental analyzers at customer sites
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, validation, and performance testing of analytical instrumentation
• Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and electromechanical equipment to minimize customer downtime
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, control systems, and related equipment to identify and resolve technical issues
• Verify equipment performance in accordance with ASTM methods and customer specifications
• Document service activities, calibration results, and repair reports accurately
• Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance
• Travel approximately 90% to refineries, chemical plants, and laboratories to support scheduled maintenance, equipment startups, commissioning, and emergency service calls

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field service experience supporting gas chromatographs (GC), elemental analyzers, or similar analytical instrumentation
• Experience installing, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and electromechanical equipment
• Working knowledge of ASTM testing methods and laboratory or refinery analytical equipment
• Strong electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 90% of the time

Preferred

• Experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, or analytical laboratories
• OEM field service experience
• Knowledge of process analyzers, industrial instrumentation, and control systems
• Experience commissioning and validating analytical equipment
