Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary onsite support engineer for customers within the assigned region, addressing contract, warranty, and billable service calls on multivendor medical imaging equipment.
- Collaborate with staff or work with Regional Service Manager via phone and email to troubleshoot systems, diagnose problems, and determine best practices for issue resolution.
- Perform timely and precise preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting on medical equipment within healthcare settings, supporting optimal healthcare service delivery and high-quality patient care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring effective communication, swift issue resolution, and proactive follow-up to drive customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills; networking experience required, DICOM proficiency preferred.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and healthcare protocols to meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Ensure all work is documented accurately, including the ordering of parts and documentation of service calls, expenses, and time reports, submitted daily per company procedures.
- Manage parts inventory effectively, handling ordering and returning of repairable spare parts components.
- Display strong problem-solving abilities, capable of resolving complex issues independently with limited supervision and minimal procedural standardization.
- Remain goal-oriented and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with Medical Imaging Equipment is preferred.
- Educational background: Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, military education, or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience servicing medical imaging equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience interfacing with internal teams and external customers in a solution-based service process.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
- Must comply with Radon’s standard background check and post-offer drug screen.
- Compliance with customer access policies, including required immunizations and additional background checks/drug screens, is mandatory.
Conditions/Environment
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 35lbs. unassisted; frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch, squat, kneel, crawl, sit, and stand for long periods. Must reach above/below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and have good hand/finger dexterity.
