About the role
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) supports Mizuho OSI, a leader in specialty surgery and patient positioning solutions. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment, providing customer support, and promoting company programs.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, service, and repair Mizuho products in customer sites.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as required.
- Create and deliver accurate quotes based on company guidelines.
- Complete service documentation for regulatory requirements.
- Operate systems to demonstrate equipment and analyze malfunctions.
- Consult with R&D and/or Manufacturing Engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems.
- Maintain and update the CRM system.
- Complete paperwork in a timely manner, including expense reports and training documentation.
- Interact with various departments to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.
- Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for improvements.
- Manage inventory and replenish trunk stock as assigned.
- Train and instruct customers on product use and maintenance.
- Make sound and logical decisions to overcome challenges and achieve work objectives.
- Understand and support Mizuho OSI's business objectives and internal Quality System policies.
- Perform tasks independently, demonstrating discretion and judgment.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of related experience and high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other technical references.
- Proficiency using established service reporting computer systems.
- Basic email, word processing, and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to provide a valid driver's license and qualify for company's auto insurance policy.
- Ability to travel extensively, cover travel expenses, and submit reimbursements.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
- Must live in the designated territory of responsibility.
- Able to work nights or weekends when requested.
- Able to participate in required training and successfully certify on all product training.
- Neat and professional appearance, outgoing personality, and good communication skills.
- Able to clearly express oneself verbally and in writing in English (additional languages preferred).
- Excellent customer focus, high sense of urgency, and ability to provide excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to function calmly in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and modify plans as necessary.
- Able to prepare and write emails, reports, and perform basic arithmetic functions.
- To establish and accomplish goals independently and function as a positive team member.
