Field Service Engineer 2- Richmond/Charlottesville, VA Area
About the role
The Senior Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing timely and accurate preventative maintenance on medical equipment, troubleshooting and repairing equipment with moderate complexity, and leading customer interactions and installations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on medical equipment to ensure optimal healthcare services delivery
- Troubleshoot and perform service repairs and installations of moderate complexity
- Communicate with customers and serve as the escalation point for customer-related concerns, including installations
- Lead installations, validations, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment
- Leverage customer knowledge and relationships to assist customers and service sales with contract and on-demand revenue growth
- Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution, and proper follow-up to drive customer satisfaction
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met
- Document all work performed daily, including debriefings and metrics, and order parts as necessary
- Partner with the customer and/or the sales team to recommend value-added services that enhance business efficiency
- Utilize the GEHC escalation process and work closely with regional and national support to define and implement corrective action plans to resolve customer issues
Requirements
- Educational and Technical Requirements: Associate degree in related field or equivalent military education and 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment, or high school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience
- Technical Capabilities: Must have technical capabilities in X-Ray, Mammo, Vascular, or Nuclear medicine including troubleshooting, repair, and installation
- Experience: Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Experience with Web applications and Microsoft suite of products
- Legal Authorization: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Availability: Ability to be available after hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule including weekends
- Other: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and have good hand and finger dexterity
