About the role
The Senior Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing timely and accurate Preventative Maintenance on medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare system. This individual troubleshoots and repairs equipment with moderate complexity, leads customer interactions, and ensures customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.
Responsibilities
- Performs timely and accurate preventative maintenance of medical equipment
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment with moderate complexity
- Led communications with customers and serves as escalation point for customer-related concerns, including installations
- Owns customer issues from dispatch or identification of issue to resolution
- Leads installations, validations, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment
- Leverages customer knowledge and relationships to assist customers and service sales with contract and on-demand revenue growth
- Maintains relationships with customers and ensures timely communication, resolution, and proper follow-up to drive customer satisfaction
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensures documentation of all work performed is captured daily, including debriefing including metrics and ordering parts
- Presents recommendations for value-added services that will help the customer run their business more efficiently
- Utilizes the GEHC escalation process, as needed, and works closely with region and national support to define and implement corrective action plans to resolve customer issues
Requirements
- Associate degree in related field or equivalent military education and 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience
- Technical capabilities in CT modality including troubleshooting, repair, and installation
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Experience with web applications and Microsoft suite of products
- Ability to be available after hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule including weekends
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction
Qualifications/Technical Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in related field or equivalent military education and 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment, or High school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience
- Technical Capabilities: Must have technical capabilities in CT modality including troubleshooting, repair, and installation
- Experience: Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Skills: Experience with web applications and Microsoft suite of products
- Other: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted, frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time; ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and have good hand and finger dexterity
