Field Service Engineer 1-Northeast Ohio/Cleveland Ohio Area
About the role
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing timely and accurate preventative maintenance on medical equipment, troubleshooting and performing basic repairs, assisting with installations, and engaging with customers to drive satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on medical equipment to ensure optimal healthcare service delivery
- Troubleshoot and perform basic service repairs on customer equipment
- Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installations and more complex repairs
- Engage with other team members to provide appropriate solutions for customers
- Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution, and follow-up
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to meet regulatory and compliance requirements
- Document all work performed daily, including debriefings and part orders
- Partner with customers and/or sales teams to recommend value-added services
- Utilize the GEHC escalation process and work with regional and national support to define and implement corrective action plans
Requirements
- Educational and Technical Requirements:
- Associate degree in related field or equivalent military education and 2 years of experience servicing electronic equipment
- High school diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience
- A graduate of the GEHC Apprentice Program
- Experience:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience with web applications and Microsoft suite of products
- Qualifications:
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time
- Flexibility to work after hours and/or on a rotating on-call schedule including weekends
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction
Skills
Technical capabilities in imaging modalities, ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted, frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing for long periods of time, reaching at, above, and below shoulder level, flexing/ extending neck, having good hand and finger dexterity.
