Job Summary Technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to engine products at the customer’s site. Will Make An Impact In The Following Ways Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms complex unassisted engine overhaulsAbility to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic toolsDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsMentor junior technicians including technical support and documentationMinimum 5 yrs experienceKnowledge of Cummins Engines and repair practices >Engine knowledge includes Diesel, Nat Gas and EV productsKnowledge of Cummins warranty policies and proceduresComputer literate (Insite, QSOL, MS Office, Teams, Accelera)Ability to communicate detailed troubleshooting and repair results both internal and externalA current valid license is required for this roleMust be 18 years old with 2 years driving experienceThis role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.A CDL may be required to obtain upon hireFederal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older Education, Licenses, Certifications Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience Significant field service work experience Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products Customer service experience Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred) Compensation And Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
