About the role

GROWMARK is an agricultural cooperative serving almost 400,000 customers across North America. The Field Sales Agronomist II position is part of a career ladder with multiple levels, ranging from Associate FSA to Senior FSA. The selected candidate will be placed into the appropriate level based on their qualifications and experience, and compensation will be commensurate with that level.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Seed Division's marketing strategies and programs consistent with market share growth for Division and assigned members.
  • Lead and initiate sales calls with targeted growers, coordinating with assigned FS companies to promote FS supported seed brands and other assigned products.
  • Provide seed leadership in the form of training, product knowledge, and implementation of marketing strategies to achieve growth and profitability to assigned members.
  • Develop and implement business plans utilizing sales administration tools to drive growth and sales retention.
  • Promote and support the implementation of GROWMARK Agronomy key marketing initiatives.
  • Provide technical and marketing leadership, leading assigned FS companies in the implementation of key targeted grower strategies and programs to gain market share growth in all assigned products.
  • Support other activities such as ASP, training, and certification testing.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Ag Business or Agronomy, or equivalent, with 3+ years of ag sales-related work experience.
  • Certified Crop Advisor certification, or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability and willingness to travel independently and overnight as needed.
  • Ability to participate in required training on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Qualifications

Normal qualifications normally require a BS degree in Ag Business or Agronomy, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of Ag sales related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of seed and crop protection sales.

SALARY RANGE: $79,500.00 - $109,287.50
