Job Summary
The Field Safety Supervisor supports Lampton Love branches in the areas of safety, training, compliance, and branch operations. This role is responsible for conducting safety training, supporting new driver and service technician orientations, responding to incidents, assisting with investigations, and conducting branch, bulk plant, equipment, and customer site inspections. The Field Safety Supervisor also stays informed on regulatory changes and promotes a strong culture of safety throughout the organization. Travel is required, including responding to incidents and visiting branch and customer locations across our footprint.
Responsibilities
- Conduct new driver and service technician orientations, including training requirements, paperwork, and coordination with the corporate office
- Participate in monthly safety meetings and coordinate and conduct in-person safety trainings
- Respond to safety incidents
- Serve as the after-hours on-call safety representative
- Assist with incident investigations and reporting
- Conduct new and existing customer site visits
- Assist with branch operations as needed
- Stay informed of regulatory and industry changes through seminars, industry association meetings, and continuing education
- Monitor expiration lists and assist Branch Managers with completing required renewals, including CDL, physicals, HazMat certifications, and other credentials
- Promote safety and compliance throughout the organization
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in the propane industry required
- CDL/commercial driving experience required
- Knowledge of propane delivery and hands-on propane service work required
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, NFPA, and other applicable safety compliance rules and regulations
- Understanding of propane branch operations
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Good computer skills
- Ability to travel between branch, bulk plant, and customer locations as needed
- Ability to respond to safety incidents
- Ability to work independently while effectively supporting branch teams
