About the role
As a Field Safety Supervisor, you will oversee all safety-related functions for both the Ramp (Transportation) team and the broader employee workforce. Your mission will be to reduce aircraft related incidents and minimize employee injuries through proactive safety leadership, training, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure compliance with Company ramp and employee safety initiatives.
- Partners with CSC Leadership regarding employee safety issues involving but not limited to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Federal Aviation Agency (FAA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT); and applicable state agencies.
- Cook regularly train employees on all Employee Safety and Ramp Safety SOPs.
- Supervise daily area / department activities in the CSC.
- Conduct monthly Safety meetings.
- Cook and ensure that all Accidents are investigated and corrective/preventive action is implemented and sustained.
- Partners with CSC Leadership to ensure Audit Readiness.
- Conduct Incident Investigations and Risk Assessments.
- Conduct Training in a classroom and field setting.
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed.
- Guide, motivate and develop the subordinate employees within the Human Resources Policy.
- Participates in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process, as well as additional career development activities to enhance the effectiveness and potential of the team.
- Make the company's values and management principles live in the department(s).
- Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as GQS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety and CBase.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering or in related field preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire.
- Two to five years of directly related supervisory experience in operations and safety required.
- Proven analytical and leadership skills.
- Experience determining root cause analysis for accident investigations and putting action plans together to identify systemic issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve budget.
- Understanding and applicability of governmental regulations such as OSHA, FDA, USDA and EPA regulations, as well as applicable state agencies.
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required combines with an aptitude for multi-tasking.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer application.
Qualifications

Pay
$78,000.00 - 83,000.00
Schedule
9am to 6pm Sunday - Thursday or 2pm to 11pm Tuesday - Saturday, however schedule flexibility is a must.
