We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Field Safety Coordinator to join our growing team in Wilson, North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits at job sites.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety training and orientation sessions for field staff.
- Maintain and enforce OSHA, company, and client safety policies.
- Document safety incidents, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Report on safety performance and contribute to safety improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with field supervisors and project managers to ensure safe work environments.
- Participate in safety meetings and provide input on safety planning.
- Maintain safety equipment and supplies at job sites.
- Promote a safety-first culture among field teams.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of safety experience in construction, utilities, manufacturing, or similar industry.
- OSHA 30-hour training certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple job sites in North Carolina.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
- Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or similar.
- Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Spanish language proficiency.
- Previous safety coordination experience in North Carolina.
